The Smart Seat installs just like any other toilet seat. No plumber required.

Living with the Smart Seat
Batteries
The Smart Seat is battery powered. No charging required. The battery should last several years. Casana will send you new batteries as needed.
Cleaning
You can clean the Smart Seat like you would a normal toilet seat, without abrasive materials.
Guests
The Smart Seat recognizes up to five registered people in your home using BioID. Guests can use the Smart Seat normally; the Seat won't calculate vitals for anyone who isn't registered.
Seeing your readings
The Smart Seat does not have a screen (or camera) on the device. The Seat comes with the Casana Smart Seat Companion App (Apple, Google, or on the web) to view vital signs.

Heart Rate
Your heart rate is the number of times your heart beats per minute. The Smart Seat measures it passively during each sit using ECG and PPG sensors. No effort, no wearable, no chest strap.

Simple Installation & Connectivity
The US standard double bolts (yes, one thing the whole country agrees on) easily installs the Smart Seat on your elongated toilet. A simple setup process connects your Smart Seat to your wifi.

Embedded Sensors
Three unique sensors are embedded in the Smart Seat: single-lead electrocardiogram (ECG), photoplethysmogram (PPG) and load cell derived ballistocardiogram (BCG).
